Well (ahhahhh a 4th saudade i forgot her how could i !!...) it takes a wise Ukrainian to lament the fact that so many older people have no one to even make their cups of tea,
(the death, let's hope temporary, of family - me i need no one to ever make anything for me as i accepted death long ago and it means you have far more energy to always crawl over to the stove..or just keep it next to you organised for first thing in the morning the SIMPLE life... theres always a solution...and no mere 'illness' ever gets me down...)
and obviously the equation is that we as a society cannot afford 500 quid a week in some 'home'..(where so often the owners rip everyone off especially their residents spending their 'food' allowance on something that is not 'food'... as its cheaper.... for so many.
No one will talk about in the UK all virtue signalling they are 'carers' when in fact they should put their heroic Joan of Arc time ( a lot spent getting fat bums on their 'clients' cake) into doing ACTUAL real much harder 'good works' on this actual earth like working tio help the damaged family down the road - all getting each other arrested or using some proxy, called 'authority' to express their inner pain.... help them sort things out and thus saving the future generations loads more 'care' costs..
No one ever does, as thats REAL hard work...
There is no hope - at LAST a Person of The Book... who knows THEMIX - mind body in one... needs a load of good outdoors UV and sweaty rambling in the hills....

And the truly great dilemma - i cannot decide now, if i had a gun to my head or even worse was forced to use 'AI' to communicate for the rest of life...
