The conversation gently reverses back into 2020... i cannot recall how but " we rather liked the slowdown and..."
But then as one is conversing with a seemingly slightly down to earth non 'earth mother'.. "well i wandered a lot of my old region and i know for a fact, no 'community' there! hardly anyone offered to do REAL things for elderly neighbours maybe in need..or anything positive for anyone all 2020 and since...."
"oooh it wasn't like that here we so so so grew as community: food bank.. activities in the hall when it all relaxed and quite a few of them remain ongoing..we are SO much better off for this in the long run.."
Now.... even if the 'news' is a curiously difficult word in the UK for the last 5 or 6 years, certain sections of the 'news' - grown ups may monitor for "why are the prices in the supermarket especially coop going up at this rate?" Impossible to know why Coop turned into number one con artist of all time - 30 or so years of " we are your true ethical alternative.." in the Marches Hay-on-Wye Kington Knighton - no alternative if you are one of one of the sizeable number with no car - prices up way over 50% by late 2021 £6 -£10 to get to nearest cheaper supermarket by bus
Otherwise keep an ear on things...after all ...well it should be obvious; that across the country I am sure even the Sun manage to inform their browser of massively mushrooming homelessness problem and the last 6 - 12 months every single indicator even a Sun reader could figure out is rather a big issue for rather a lot of people - " serious contraction of available rental property... mortgage rates way up for millions... RENTAL rates risen at the highest ever rate.."
No moaning from me, except even the dumbest single cell organism may have some evolutionary trick to know when their environment has changed rather - in the direction of fewer resources per single cell..and also OTHER singles are gonna be a bit more sharp elbowed... and thus have SOME awareness of he real life of those around them...
Back to the bright eyed chummy mummy...
Of course one cannot - i gave up... " aww bless you heroes... maybe nett benefit to the bottom third in your parish....maybe equivalent of £20/ week... but ehhh... this 'community..?..... i should imagine if it is a fairly original-state... mix of mainly lower to middle classes... not that many second homes.. ehhh...maybe 10% ..possibly even 20% are almost terminally stressed to an early grave and shaking off the extra calories you dish out at the prospect of being unable to ever rent anything again now rents maybe risen by 20% or more in just a few years (i reckon roughly 30% in reality Marches... here..over 3 years hats a fuckin neutron bomb for many!")... prices of buying up maybe 30%... likelihood zero percent of even being ALLOWED to rent a next property if unable to get a reference from last landlord due missing a few months payments.... 5...maybe 10% are going to be ACTUALLY roofless over the next year or so.....20 % maybe living oin CONSTANT fear of it......so what has your 'community' 'done' to address that one simplest largest issue driving many to becoming such a nervous wreck you would have to double their calories to keep their blubber on... have you tried to ask people in your 'community' to leave rents frozen..? tried to encorage multiple occupancy for the singles..?...maybe even created awareness signs or petitions? i know its very hard work but.....or tried to... lobby for changes in law...real ones not simply doubling council tax to secondhmomers..REAL lawes that will cause REAl change...?"
The Teletubbie, wobbles and raises her (figurative) tutu... is usually, as todays chummy friendly one, self assured... often a bit chubby...but has excellent esteem of the person who knows that the thing that quite automatically they rapid-fire out of their gob...is 100% correct and right and not even ever to make the rapid fire retorter...look good, no it is the TRUTH... and look i can do a twirl with my tutu uptoo

They are Teletubbies - i think it's the politest word i can think for them...and rather fits. If you stop and stare a little (AND LISTEN!)...you will see them for yourself...as in my opinion they became 95% or more of folk i stop and stare at except never stare as often may try sane conversation...and listen too.... which doesnt so much as have two sides in any debate, but two sides whom at least can THINK what basis there just may conceivably for their so quickly tossed out answers to everything...

All i know - in fact the thing above all that surprises me the last 20..30 years... and something did 'happen' around 15 years ago...or started then. THE one thing above all people wish to do even if passively aggressively - is deny you your own story... subtly chip away at the 'identity' life experience ... every interaction some gradual chip away - assuming.... writing stupid messages... and inevitably bitching about one to others...
when they actually have NO idea what ones journey has been...what ones cares are.....

My own is 97% ethical the last decade and the 3% arguably simple inconsistencies....aimed at the same ethical ends..(every word me ineracting with anyone can be assessed and ested for just that) . and also driven by the simplest universal 'good's... that no one argues with...
All that really matters is 'they' -a tin foil hat word; so, simply put, EVERYone... doesnt chip away such that (maybe it IS their 'plan'? though that seems far fetched) one doesnt forget ones actual OWN real lived life history....
Me i won... i know i get a LOT of chippy away... because weaving in recentish REAL life tales to entertain whilst attempting (at present not with the best words) actual mindful zen psychology SPIRITUAL/Bodily THEMIX HEATLTH the real version...training.... for free... i know it worked 100% ... and i was the stubbornest bugger in the world 20 years ago whom 100% knew i could only ever be the person i was then and it was the pinnacle of Be..ing...
i know myself brilliantly even if i forgot bits so needed just such an exercise...thank you listener...
as i did 20 years ago........until i discovered that ....hen- forced.... enforced ... necessarily having to change - having change sort of foisted...
i was completely and utterly 100% wrong...
